"Darkness shall cover the earth,and gross dark the people.."
You can only get the value of your shinning when you turn up your light in darkness. Trying to turn up your light in light will only increase intensity,but that doesn't disapprove the fact that your shinning wouldn't be effective and useful as it would have been if it had shone in darkness, because light only gets appreciated in darkness.
So many keep doing what they do in places where what they do aren't needed and yet complain of not making impact. But didn't you know before now that light doesn't compete with light,but only glow together? Truth is,nobody is recognizing your thing because they can't single you out. How would you be in a place where hundreds(100) of you do same thing and expect to make significant impact? You can't! Yet there are other places lacking what you have to give; go to those places and shine your light there.
Understand that the light which God has blessed you with,is for the needy: those in the dark. He want you to help them out of their dark state,to light. Don't hesitate to shine in their dark,because you are the light of the word!
